Raised in Pittsburgh, PA Zach grew up playing hockey and spent most of his time on the ice. It wasn’t until later a teammate introduced him to golf one summer and the love for a new game was born. The transition from the ice to greens seemed natural and that’s when he decided to pursue a career in golf. His first job was in outside services at Cullasaja Club in Highlands, NC. The club was seasonal so in the winter he would chase the perfect weather down to Pine Tree Golf Club in Boynton Beach, FL. His time with these two clubs proved to be a great opportunity to grow, meet amazing people, and understand how some of the best clubs in the country operate. His drive to be competitive has always been strong and after a few years working the seasonal jobs he felt his game had reached a point where he could compete and further his education at the same time. That’s when he received an offer to play golf at Greensboro College. The next 4 years he would study for a degree in marketing while also fine tuning his own game. He started in every tournament during his time at Greensboro, winning one as the individual medalist and five as a team. His senior year he participated in the 2022 National Championship. While enrolled at Greensboro he took a job at Stoney Creek Golf Club and quickly worked his way up to first assistant. After his final season was in the books he officially joined the PGA of America as an associate member and is currently working towards a class A for 2024. Zach has a deep understanding of the golf swing and a unique ability to teach all skill levels, with his current students ranging from first time beginners to college athletes.
