Wild Child Camp

Bretton Woods Wild Child Camp: focuses on the Five Fundamentals of the outdoors that include: Shelter Building, Fire Starting, Water and Food, Orienteering and Signaling. Understanding these five topics is essential to being prepared in any wilderness situation. This camp is taught by our very own Jason Drevenak, who is a Nationally recognized Bush craft, Primitive Skills, and Wilderness Survival Instructor. Bretton Woods Campers will have fun in a controlled and supportive environment, learn, explore, make new friends, and have the “best summer ever”! If your child loves being outside, discovery new skills, learning about the environment, and techniques then this is the perfect camp. Our program offers experience in outdoor leadership, problem solving and teamwork.

Lunch will be provided, and bus transportation will be available.

There will also be an optional Thursday overnight where campers can put what they have learned all week to the test for an additional cost.

Fishing Fishing Fishing Camp

Bretton Woods Fishing, Fishing, Fishing Camp: focuses on how to properly prepare fishing gear, how to make your own fishing pole out of bamboo, what bait is the best bait to use and where to locate it, where fish love to hide and so much more. This camp is taught by our very own Tanner Craig who is a Four Time Runner Up and State Champion junior Bassmaster and now is a professional Fishing Guide. Bretton Woods Campers will have fun in a controlled and supportive environment, learn, explore, make new friends, and have the “best summer ever”! If your child loves fishing, discovery new skills, and learning about the environment around them then this is the perfect camp. Our program offers experience in outdoor leadership, problem solving, and teamwork.

All fishing gear will be provided. It will be best to practice your new skills on your own equipment if you have it.

Lunch will be provided.

Bus transportation will also be available.
*If there are not enough campers signed up for a certain bus stop, that bus stop may be removed from the route. If the bus stop is removed, campers will have the option to select a different bus stop on that route.
*If you register for camp after 6pm on Wednesday through the website/email/over the phone, there is no spot guaranteed on the bus.
*Bus times may vary due to weather, traffic, etc. If there are bus delays that are more than ten minutes, parents will be notified via email.

This program is similar to the regular Adventure Camp as the activities that are offered are the same. It is significantly different as you have the ability to select the activities that you want. We will customize everything to match the interests and skills of your group. This program is flexible. Activities that you might consider include tubing, canoeing, paddle boarding, a ropes course, primitive skills, and archery. Additional activities can be included or removed in this interest - driven adventure. We can also offer and teach nature crafts, games, slingshots, pedal cart racing, campfire cooking, map and compass navigation and mountain biking (you must bring your own bikes). Personalized and individualized, the Private Adventure Camp will adapt to your interests and expectations! The activities last all day from 9:30 to 4:00pm.
